shudn't be blogging at this so-called "危急時刻"...haha...when i haf piles of work to be done...

but oh aniway...i need a rest also =X (finding excuses)..

2 of my term tests are over...in fact gotten one of the results back str after 1 day i took the paper (lecturers are very efficient when it comes to results =X) ....din fail...din do badly either...i fall into the "jus like most of the ppl" category...my score for tat paper fell into tat range...

expected to fail. really.

tigum 3-4 qns. got all of them correct. HENG AH. but tat's not a good sign at ALL!

though this subject used to be my best subject (take note of the "used to"..haha..not animore)...but somehow or rather...i've lost interest in it...-_-llll...the lab for OS juz pisses me off...not becose i dunch know how to do...but i take a pretty long time to interpret what on earth the lab qn is asking...the fact tat the lab has to be done in C language doesn't make things ani better...

with a marker system that checks for plagarism....which grades us based on screen outputs...it is worse!....in fact on several occasions...my frens and i have had the same variable name though we din even looked at each other's work...ended up altering the variable names...seems as if we're guilty of copying...believe it or not BUT we DID NOT COPY!...call tat telepathy......but the system gives u a straight zero for plagarising when they sees these kind of telepathy.....

seriously not the right way to teach i tot..-_-lll ...BUT those professors claimed they have to use tat because they can't possibly mark so mani students' work...

then it makes me wonder....how about poly lecturers? how come they can do it?

and i detest the stupid system because:

1) ppl can write programs with junk logic and get the same output and naively think that their logic is CORRECT (tat definitely includes me of 'cos..)

2) it encourages ppl to AIM for the screen output since the marker system takes u as correct so LONG you haf the same output as what the teacher input into the system

3) test data not revealed..unlucky ppl often waste time thinking about what the teacher used as test data.

for eg....let say....i handle alternate flow with "Error!"...but professors handle it with "0".

dun be surprised if you get an F grade for the above test case.

just plain DUMB i tell u.

and did anione tell those professors that we're not fortune tellers? $%#^&#$^
